I am a Business Intelligence Leader and enthusiast with a focus on empowering people with Data. I am passionate about how data can bring factual truth forward and influence decisions for a better outcome. I have developed leadership traits throughout my career, and have had the opportunity to have taken people leadership positions in most of my professional journey, helping companies succeed by co-leading their BI strategies.
I have seen the many faces of the information technology world. I've been involved in the IT industry since 2004 as a Computer Systems Engineer. I've worked in ad-hoc software development companies, Fortune 500 enterprises with complex IT infrastructures, and most recently with the Canadian IT services industry in Calgary, Alberta.
I'm originally from Texas, and I have been living in Alberta since 2014. I have been a consultant for most of my professional life. I worked with different technologies and enterprises. I've worked on many projects in many countries, ranging from South America, Central America and North America. I'm fluent in Spanish, so this gave me the capability to work in all of the Americas.
I'm a hands-on developer when needed. If the project I'm in is in jeopardy, I step in to help.
Out-of-the-box thinking is the way to go sometimes with individual obstacles. I have the flexibility to look at many ways a problem can be solved.
I have a passion for my work, which is also accompanied by a desire for learning. Technology changes fast, and I enjoy to keep up with it.
I have experience working with many technologies and delivery methodologies. Microsoft and Google have predominated my cloud technology experience. The last projects I worked on were with the Azure Business Intelligence group of services.
I studied up to high school in Texas and went to college in Monterrey, Mexico. I studied a Bachelor's in Computer Science and became a Computer Science Engineer. I have taken many technical certifications and courses, as well as soft skills.

When I began working for Groundswell Group, my role was as an Integration Consultant. In this role I developed integration solutions and ETLs in Oracle Fusion Middleware. I moved to the BI team when my SAP knowledge was needed for SAP BOBj Webi/Universe Designer development and modeling. I also worked on the development of CrossingsCloud (C#/MVC5) due to my previous experience in App Development. Finally, I worked on SSIS/SSAS/SSRS (Microsoft’s BI Stack) by data modeling and creating data warehouses for three clients. During this time, I was involved with data maturity assessments for clients we engaged, as well as pre-sales meetings with the sales team as a technical advisor.

I worked for Siemens Mexico for almost two years. I functioned as an IT liaison and business analyst for the HR department. I worked closely with the CIO and HR Director to deliver proper solutions to their problems. I also worked closely with the SAP Team (SPIRIDON) to migrate the HR module to the new HR tool being implemented, PeopleSoft.

When needed, I functioned as a developer as well.
